I think we should re-examine what happens to our carefully crafted match bullets as we fire them through equally well crafted target rifle barrels. Over the years, gunsmiths and benchrest shooters have developed a system that works quite well to guide our bullets straight into the rifling of the barrel. Poor initial bullet guidance, if it is occurring, could explain the poor accuracy we sometimes experience with verylow-drag (VLD) long-range bullets. In the SRBR system, we often rely on a 1.5-degree leade angle to hold our short-range bullets in place during firing, but our long range VLD bullets do not seem to work the same way"

 

Skribenten som har en så vitt jag förstår det god erfarenhet och gott rykte i BR krestsar har en hel del väldigt intressant att förmedla om hur vi bör/skall tänka och överväga när vi specar våra patronlägen.

 

Jag är inte alls säker på att jag någonsin kommer att skjuta väl nog för att nyttja några som helst av dessa idéer/tankar men det är som alltid ett intellektuellt arbete som ligger bakom förkorvran inom skyttet, inte enbart ett rent skytte.

Kan bli intressant detta,brotchen till min imp 30 är optimerad för rätt lead med 105-107 och max längd för AICS mag.

Hmmm... Jag har inte hållt mig helt 100% uppdaterad på 1000y skyttet, men det mesta av det författaren föreslår i del 2 av artikeln är tvärt emot det som visat sig fungera, och den kultyp han föreslår som "lösningen" skulle inte ha en speciellt imponerande BC.

 

Tighta halsar, mer eller mindre noll headspace, och hylsan mycket nära slutet av patronläget är tvärt emot det som används idag. Throatvinkeln kan det ligga något i, men det har testats en massa kring det och resultaten visar att 1,5grader är svårslaget.
